New fundraiser: Hibbing Police Department to “Serve & Protect”

Members of the Hibbing Police Department will be serving Blue Line burger baskets and selling Pink Patches this Wednesday in support of a local nonprofit that provides financial assistance for cancer patients.

HPD will host the inaugural “Serve & Protect” for Angel Fund from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, at Palmer’s Tavern. Officers and HPD staff will wait on customers — serving YOU Palmer’s famous burger baskets and your libations of choice all in hopes of receiving a tip. They will also be offering pink drink specials and have HPD “In Pursuit of a Cure” t-shirts and Pink HPD patches available for purchase.

All tips and proceeds from the Pink items collected that evening will go to the Angel Fund. To learn more about Angel Fund, see angelfundrange.org.
