Join Angel Fund at the Buhl Independence Day Celebration on Saturday, June 25th, beginning with a parade at 3 p.m. Angels will be part of the procession, handing out info and candy. Following the parade, Angel Fund will set up a Long Toss competition near The Hydeaway. The fun starts around 4: 15 p.m. Purchase each bag for $1, give it your best and if ya hit the cornhole, you split the pot with Angel Fund. The 4th annual Hi‐Fi Spring Classic in Honor of John “Hi Fi” Tilock, Benefitting the Angel Fund, will be held June 18, at Mesaba Country Club in Hibbing. We are conducting a cash raffle with a grand prize of $3,000. Purchase tickets – only 100 of them — from an Angel Fund Board Member (ASAP as they are going quick)! On Saturday, June 18, we will have raffles on site. We encourage you to stop by the club between 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. All drawings will be conducted at 6 p.m. and winners will be notified that evening.
We are super stoked to announce the addition of The Forge Social Haus’ mobile axe-throwing trailer to our inaugural Cornzizzle 4 Cancer on Saturday, June 4th, at BG’s Bar & Grill in Mountain Iron! The Forge Social Haus’ team will teach participants how to throw and conduct two challenging games throughout the day. Prizes will be given to the winners. Ever hear of a Cornzizzle? It’s a cornhole term meaning a single player sinks all four bags in the hole in a single round. The term was new to us too, but we like it so much that we’ve adopted it for our next fundraiser
Angel Fund will conduct its inaugural “Cornzizzle 4 Cancer” on Saturday, June 4, at BGs Bar & Grill in Mountain Iron. The one-day competition will directly benefit area cancer patients and mark our first official fundraiser on the East Range.
Angel Fund is a nonprofit committed to providing financial assistance to Northeastern Minnesota residents facing cancer for expenses not covered by medical insurance. In 2021, we helped 163 area individuals, gifting almost $70,000 primarily by providing gas money for transportation to treatment.
Please consider sponsoring Cornzizzle 4 Cancer. Your sponsorship of $500 as a Slick Woody Sponsor; $250 as a Drain-O Sponsor; and $100 as a Cow Pie Sponsor will be recognized at the event and on social media.

Join us Saturday, June 4, at BG’s Bar & Grill in Mountain Iron for the inaugural Cornzizzle 4 Cancer, a one-day fundraiser benefitting the Angel Fund and area cancer patients.

This will be Angel Fund’s first official fundraiser on the East Range, and we are excited about it!
Games of double elimination will begin at 11 a.m. Entry fee is $60 per team and includes lunch.
Register below or at BG’s by 10:45 a.m. day of. Up to 64 teams.
Must play with bags provided at the event. Scoring is race to 21.
Payouts will be $500, $300 and $100. Fun team names, themes and costumes are encouraged.
All are invited to stop by BG’s for a burger, beverage and raffles. You do not have to play in the competition to attend.
Games will include Split the Pot and Long Toss, among others.
