A fitting post on International Women’s Day: a huge THANK YOU to the Hibbing High School Girls Hockey team for the $1,090 donation from their Hockey Fights Cancer night on Jan. 28th in the Hibbing Memorial Arena. These funds will provide hope for several area cancer patients. We appreciate the support, and wish each and every one of you the best on and off the ice!
NATURAL HARVEST FOOD CO-OP SHOPPERS ARE AWESOME!
In December, they rounded up $2,097 for the Angel Fund! Because of their support, we can continue our work to support those in our community diagnosed with cancer. We are overjoyed about once again receiving a $2,000 recent grant from The Owens-Pesavento / Dr. Benjamin P. Owens Family Foundation of the Hibbing Foundation! We’re eternally grateful for the ongoing support and belief in our mission to assist Hibbing cancer patients. To those who manage the fund/foundation, you are angels in disguise … and we thank you!
A big “thank you” to Security State Bank of Hibbing’s Foundation for recognizing the value and hard work of volunteers. This $500 grant is unique in that it will allow all 29 board members of the past 10 years of Angel Fund to gather, reminisce and celebrate what our local, grassroots nonprofit has grown into and accomplished over the past decade. SSB and its Foundation have been steady, generous supporters of Angel Fund for nearly a decade too — for which we are forever grateful. The reunion event will take place on Dec. 2 at Valentini’s Supper Club in Chisholm.
