A fitting post on International Women’s Day: a huge THANK YOU to the Hibbing High School Girls Hockey team for the $1,090 donation from their Hockey Fights Cancer night on Jan. 28th in the Hibbing Memorial Arena. These funds will provide hope for several area cancer patients. We appreciate the support, and wish each and every one of you the best on and off the ice!
NATURAL HARVEST FOOD CO-OP SHOPPERS ARE AWESOME!
In December, they rounded up $2,097 for the Angel Fund! Because of their support, we can continue our work to support those in our community diagnosed with cancer. We’d like to thank the Hibbing Elks Lodge 1022 for their generous $2,000 donation to the Angel Fund. Becky Radika, President of the Hibbing Elks, applied for a grant through the Grand Lodge and part of the grant was awarded to the Angel Fund. Three other nonprofits were also recipients of the grant money.
Security State Bank of Hibbing employees made their own fun in October in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Angel Fund. SSB had their own “Girls Night Out” event where some serious pumpkin decorating took place! Social media fans were asked to vote for their favorite pumpkin. Between Facebook comments and employee votes, Ashley Cannata was named the winner! Employees graciously donated $497 to the Angel Fund!
The Security State Bank Foundation is a longtime, proud supporter of Angel Fund. In May, the Foundation gave Angel Fund a $500 Sponsorship check for this year’s Rock for An Angel Campaign.
Thank you to SSB Foundation for its continued support and generosity!
